Do the Putco Chrome Towing Mirror Overlays Cover the Whole Mirror Housing
Question:
The photo of a red p/u shows a fully covered mirror, while the other photos show a piece that looks like it would only cover the upper outer half when flipped up for tow. Does this piece cover half of the flip up mirror or all of it?

I definitely see what you mean. The photo with the red pickup is a stock photo from the manufacturer that they use as an example. The other photos are ones that we took in our photo department so those are more accurate. The top part of the Putco Chrome Towing Mirror Overlays # P400520 that goes over the main mirror section will leave some of the back side of the housing exposed as you wouldn't be able to rotate the mirror back into place with the extra material on the housing.
So when the mirrors are in regular driving mode everything looks chrome but when you move them into tow mode some of the housing will be exposed.
