Does Curt Rebellion XD Ball Mount C83WR Work With Anti-Rattle
Question:
I have some questions for the product experts and engineers. 1. The shock absorbing material in this hitch mount appears to be made of hard rubber, neoprene, or a simlar material. What kinds of tests have you run on it and how long is it expected to last? Can it perform as well in cold weather below freezing as it does in warm/hot weather? Does it perform the same for light and heavy loads? 2. I currently use an eTrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2inch Hitches, item # e99007 to keep the hitch tight in the receiver. Can I use it with the CURT Trailer Hitch Ball Mount? Thanks

We do not actually do any tests of the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount w/ 2" and 2-5/16" Balls - 15K # C83WR because we do not manufacture the item, it is simply a product we offer for sale. As for your other questions, the core is made of polyurethane; there is not a specific amount of time it is expected to last; and it will do just as well in cold weather as it does warm weather.
In regard to the anit-rattle # e99007, it can be used but is not at all necessary with the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount # C83WR.
Reason being the Rebellion's cushioning will limit the rattle, and it actually has a built-in anti-rattle feature in the dual ball mount that attaches to the shank. So while I don't recommend the anti-rattle, I do recommend locks to make sure this very nice ball mount stays in place, the Lock Set for Curt Rebellion XD Ball Mount # C78CR.
