Parts Needed to Install Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Controller on a 2017 Subaru Forester
Question:
Looking for brake controller that will plug into my existing 4-pin flat connector so that I can continue to use it with either of my trailers Im looking at Item Item # RED44FR for my 2017 Subaru Forester. I have an existing 4-pin flat connector on the vehicle, and would like to be able to continue using this connector for my small trailer, and to have the brake controller work for my Tear. Do I need an additional wiring package to accomodate this?

I can definitely help you get the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR installed on your 2017 Subaru Forester!
It sounds like you already have the 4-Way flat connector, like part # C56040, for the basic trailer lighting on your vehicle so you'll just need to install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 which gives you all of the wiring and connections you need to have a fully-functional 7-Way for the Tear trailer as well as a 4-Way flat connector for your small trailer.
I'm attaching an installation video of the Tow-Pro Elite and the ETBC7 wiring kit on a 2015 Forester for you to reference and see what all needs to be done.
