Correct Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box for 2014 Redwood RV

Is the GY56FR what I need to pull a 2014 Redwood RV 40’ with a 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon short bed? I am having the gooseneck installed this week and want to convert the 5th wheel on the trailer. Thank you

In order to find if the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR will fit your 2014 Redwood RV you will need to know what pin box it currently has. This adapter will fit if you have a Lippert 1621 or Lippert 1621 HD. It has a towing capacity of 21,000 lbs and a pin weight capacity range of 1,500-3,500 lbs. As long as what you currently have matches, this is the correct pin box for you.

In order to find out what pin box is on your Redwood RV you want to start by looking on the pin box itself. You are looking for a sticker that has the manufacturer name along with the pin box number. If the sticker has faded or is not there, you can attempt to contact the manufacturer with the VIN number and they should be able to identify it. If neither of those is an option you will have to measure the bolt pattern.
