Can a 2008 Jeep Wrangler with Hard Rock Bumper be Flat Towed
Question:
Have a 2008 wrangler with a rock hard front bumper RH 5005. Do you make a tow bar and adaptor that will attach to the front D ring bracket?

We do not have a custom base plate kit that is compatible with the Rock Hard brand bumper on your 2008 Jeep Wrangler. However I may have a solution. Blue Ox makes a universal bolt-on base plate kit, # BX88230, that you may be able to use. It requires that the bumper be reinforced or modified to install. I have linked the instructions for you.
If you determine this kit will work for you then you will need a compatible tow bar such as the Avail, # BX7420. It also comes with safety cables so you will not need to add any.
For lighting I recommend a simple magnetic kit like # RM-2120 which will bypass the vehicle wiring. If the Jeep has a soft top then you can use tow light partners, # TLP01, to mount the lights. Consult the vehicle owners manual because it looks like you will need to disconnect the battery to flat tow the vehicle.
And finally most states not require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. I recommend the Roadmaster Invisibrake, # RM-8700. After a one-time installation you will not have to mess with it again. You will also want to add a stop light switch, # RM-751452, to allow proper operation of the braking system.
I have included a couple of helpful links on flat towing for you.
