Do the ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tires have to Match the Rating of the Wheels?
Question:
I have a 2003 travel supreme express 5th wheel with aluminum wheels / 16” - 8lug and they have 3042 lbs stamped on the inside. My question is do I have to have a tire with the same load range or lower or can I go slightly higher?

Your tire has to be rated for whatever weight your 2003 Travel Supreme Express 5th Wheel Trailer requires. The wheels rating doesn't necessarily have to match up with the tires. I recommend the Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G item # WE76FR. This tire has a Maximum load of 4,080 lbs at 110 psi or a combined total of over 7,000 lbs.
