All Parts to Flat Tow 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave Behind Motorhome With Air Brakes

Question:

I have a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, and 2010 Tiffin Allegro Bus with Air Force one already on the motor home air brakes. I am looking to get a complete Blue Ox or Roadmaster flat tow for the Jeep, including all wiring and the braking system. Every time I select an item, it recommends something else. Request a complete list of what is needed to match my vehicle with my motor home, and the existing system.

I can help you out with all the parts needed to flat tow your 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. It's a smart idea to make sure you're getting everything you need as there are quite a few parts, so I'll go ahead and make a list for you to make it simple.

- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77VR

- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676

- Wiring Kit (For Jeep WITH ParkSense Proximity Sensors): Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes # RM47ZR
or
(For Jeep WITHOUT ParkSense Proximity Sensors): Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152

- Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751497

- Supplemental Braking: Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99209

Starting with the braking system, since your motorhome already has the Demco Air Force One # SM99243, this second vehicle kit is going to be all that you need to use it with your Gladiator. For the base plates, I verified directly with Roadmaster that the base plates are a fit specifically for the Mojave model of Gladiator.

The Nighthawk tow bar will attach easily to the Direct-Connect base plates, and is great because of its long, 52 inch arms that make it much easier to maneuver when towing. It is also the easiest tow bar to use due to its non-binding latch system, and has LED lights so you can easily connect or disconnect even in the dark. The Nighthawk also has integrated safety cables and an electrical cord so you won't have to purchase them separately.

The wiring kit is going to depend on if your Gladiator has the ParkSense proximity sensors, so you'll want to make sure you verify that, but both are diode kits, which I really like because they are designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback, keeping your Jeep's electrical system safe.

Finally, the Stop Light Switch is needed to ensure the braking system is able to function properly. Those are going to be all the parts you need, though I did want to at least mention that there is an option to help protect your Jeep from debris when it is being towed which I recommend considering, which is the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750.
