Your trailer's tongue weight will be between 10 % and 15% of your trailer's weight. Making it anywhere from 850 lbs to 1275 lbs. I think you will be fine with your existing setup, but if you need peace of mind, I suggest the following. I would move about 100 lbs, if possible, behind your trailer's axle, because the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW, part # RP66084, is a distribution hitch that can handle tongue weights from 700 lbs to 1,200 lbs. This would lessen the tongue weight of your trailer, getting that tongue weight under 1.200 lbs. This would ensure that you will not exceed the 1,200 lbs tongue weight of your trailer.

If you can not get your tongue weight under 1,200 lbs, you do have other options. You could keep your existing adjustable shank and add the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - No Shank - Trunnion Bar - 15K GTW, 1,500 lbs TW, part # RP66130. This weight distribution hitch can handle tongue weights from 800 lbs to 1,500 lbs.

I have included product description links and a video review link below.
