Bike Rack to Carry Recumbent Trike on 2005 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

My wife has an Electra standard bike, and I have recently went to the Catrike Villager. We currently have a Hollywood two standard bike rack on our Jeep. The catrike does fit inside the Jeep but I am looking to upgrade to haul our new bikes.

We used to have a trike hitch mount bike rack available from Hollywood Racks but they have since then discontinued it so the only solution that we have for your trike is the SeaSucker Trike Rack for 1 Trike # 298-BD1005. This mounts via powerful vacuum cups (210 lbs pull strength each) so you can be confident your trike isn't going anywhere.

This does pose an interesting situation though because it means you're going to have to find a way to get your trike up and down from the roof of your 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The SeaSucker Trike Rack is rated for up to a 45 lb bike so it will definitely work for your bike if you're able to get it on your roof.
