5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kits for a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed

Hi, We are looking for a rail kit for our 2005 Dodge Ram 2500, 4x4, short bed. We are thinking about purchasing a used Draw-Tite elite series 16k sliding hitch. Are there rail kits available that would work for this combination?

Do you mean a Reese Elite Series or Signature Series hitch like # RP30144? If so you would use installation kit # RP30074.

If it is a hitch that fits in above the bed rails you would need a different installation kit. For a custom above the bed kit you can use # RP50140-58. Custom kits require less time to install and require less drilling than universal kits. I have linked a video showing a typical installation and the instructions for this kit.
