Best Way To Carry Bikes On a Trailer That Has a Rear Spare Tire Carrier
Question:
Hi, we just purchased an off-road trailer which has a 2 inch hitch receiver. The problem is the spare tires on the back and the hitch receiver is set back pretty far. To put our bike rack on the end of the hitch receiver we need The extender to be about 24 inches. From everything I’ve seen, the longest one is 18 inches. Can I attach another extender at the end of the 18 inch extender? thx!

I have a couple options that may help you with this as I can't recommend using multiple extenders. You will likely have ground clearance issues as well with a rack sticking that far behind the trailer as well.
The best option I see is using a bike carrier like the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 or Hitch-It 2 Bike Rack for Straight Tongue Trailers # LC731138. These will position your bikes on the front of your trailer where there is less bounce and will allow you to keep the ground clearance on the back off your off-road trailer.
The other option is to move the spare tire to the front of your trailer with a Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier # FSTC1000301. This will mount to a trailer tongue up to 3" wide and 4" tall, and carry a 10" diameter or larger wheel with a 4 on 4" or 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
