Dexter Heavy Duty K71-359-00 Suspension Kit for Tandem Axle Triton Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 2000 model year Triton dual axel bass boat trailer that I need to replace the equalizers, hardware and shackle assemblies. My leaf springs appear to be good. My axels are 31-1/2 center to center CTC, equalizers are 5-1/2 CTC and the center hole is 1-1/2 above the two that are at 5-1/2 CTC. My shackles are 4” long and holes are 2-1/4 CTC. Please let me know if the K71-359-00 Kit will work on my trailer, or if there is a different kit that would be better. With the dimensional differences, if I use the K71 kit, what variables might change in regards to trailer height or any other things I should be aware of. Thanks, Ryan V

Although the equalizers included with the Dexter # K71-359-00 Heavy Duty Suspension are a 1/2 inch taller and a 1/4 inch different in width than the original equalizers, that difference isn't enough to affect the fit. The trailer height will be slightly raised due to the taller equalizers, but the articulation of the suspension will take up part of that. The height change will be negligible.

This is absolutely the kit I'd recommend for you. The heavier duty shackle links and wet bolts that allows the shackle links to be lubricated will provide years of trouble free service.
