Will the Trailer Valet STC-V2111 Mount on a 1991 Astro Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a 1990 Astro trailer for a 1990 Astro QUICKFIRE FISH and SKI 18FS boat. The trailer has a surge brake activator on the tongue. I would like to know if I can mount the STC-V211 on this trailer. In reply to a previous question, you had stated that the product must be mounted forward of the A-section due to the I-beam construction. Is this because of the construction, or because the trailer in that question did not have enough space for the unit to swivel up when not in use ? I dont think there is enough room in the section forward of the A-section, due to the surge brake activator assembly, which leaves only 7.5 inches. Based on the photos attached, do you think the unit could be mounted on the main side frame members , if not the section forward of the A-section ? Forward of A-section : 3inch wide x 3inch high I-beam section: 1-5/8inch wide x 4inch high Thank you.

If you check out the install video I attached for the Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 that you referenced you will see that when we installed it we did not install it in front of the A frame. We installed it on one of the side beams. You should have no problem using this jack on the side beams, but in case you are wondering the install bracket for this jack will take up 8 inches of real estate on the frame of your trailer.
