What Does Putco Heavy-Duty Harness and Relay Do to Make Headlights Brighter

Putco Heavy-Duty Harness and Relay for 9005/9005XS/9006/9006XS Halogen Bulbs Item # P239006HW. Just to be sure , this item when hooked up takes the full battery voltage off the light switch . Then the switch operates the headlights by the relays. Thanks ,

Essentially what the Putco Heavy-Duty Harness and Relay for 9005/9005XS/9006/9006XS Halogen Bulbs
Item # P239006HW does is give your headlights considerably more amperage so that they burn brighter. It does this by providing heavier gauge wire which can carry additional amperage and draws from a relay that provides that helps get the power to the circuit.
