2019 Toyota Tundra Ladder Rack To Fit with Tonneau Cover

Hello, I have 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.7bed, and I like the Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck Overland Truck Bed system. I have a 12 foot kayak I like to haul when we go camping, but this product doesnt go as high as the cab so the kayak wont fit above the cap for travel. Is there a modification to get this taller? I have a roll up tonneau, so finding a kayak rack has been tough. The Toyota Tundras dont have stake pockets, so Ive been looking for something to attach to the deck rails and this product is just that, but its not tall enough. Thoughts? My tonneau cover will roll up and be out of the way with something like this on the truck, so its not a problem. This whole search started last fall when our camper hauling vehicle went down that had a nice roof rack, so we purchased the Tundra and I have been looking since November.

The Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck Overland Truck Bed Rack # RR96VH will fit with the Deck Rail System on your 2019 Toyota Tundra, but the rails of your cover will make contact with these legs since they will sit flush with the bed sides of your truck.

Since that is the case as well as the lowered height of the crossbars I recommend going with the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH97RV instead. This normally installs using stake pockets but since your Tundra doesn't have stake pockets you'll need to do some drilling. The base rails install on top of your bed sides so it won't come into contact with the rails used for your tonneau cover.

Not only will the crossbars sit higher than your truck cab, but they can be adjusted back and forth to accommodate different load lengths.
