Can Integrated Brake Controller of 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 be Bypassed for Curt Echo

Question:

Can I install the curt aftermarket controller even with the fact I have the integrated controller already in the vehicle..the issue i am having is the factory controller on my 3500 not reading the brakes on a 32 foot gooseneck..the lights etc all work fine but not the brakes ..I have dealt with this with other trailers also ..and i am at wits end to fix the issue with another controller hopefully

On your 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 you can bypass the factory controller to install the Curt Echo part # C27JR but you will need the install harness part # C51451. You will also need to check out the help article I attached to this page that will walk you through exactly how to bypass your brake controller.
