Will Reese Custom Base Rail Mounting Kit # RP50064-58 Work with a RBW UHS-85 on a 2005 Chevrolet
Question:
I have an old RBW UHS 5th wheel hitch and I need to figure out which mounting brackets to use to mount it to my 2005 silverado quad cab as well as how many brackets to use. I Have already solved clearance issues by installing a reese side winder hitch.

By taking a few measurements you would be able to determine if this install kit would be compatible with your existing RBW UHS-85 5th wheel hitch.
According to my contact at Reese they could not verify if the rail kit # RP50064-58 would be a compatible fit with your existing hitch. The Reese line of base rails will be compatible with 5th wheel hitches that have mounting foot distances that measure 22 inches front to back, and either 20-1/2 or 29 inches when measuring side to side. Please note these measurements are from the center of each mounting location. I have included a diagram showing these measurements.
If the above measurements match up the # RP50064-58, will work with your 2005 Chevy Silverado. I have included an installation video of these rails on a truck of the same manufacturer and year of your truck for your reference.
