How To Choose Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit for Lakota Horse Trailer

Question:

I have a 2016 Lakota three horse trailer with living quarters. It has a 13 foot short wall and is 32 feet long. My wife wants it to have less bounce while hauling horses. Which one of your systems do you suggest we install for that? dual axle trailer and I think around 7500 pounds empty.

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit is chosen based on axle capacity, part # RM-2460-2560 for 5,200 lbs or part # RM-2460-2570 for 7,000 lbs. If you have a 3,500 lb then you will have to go with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers part # RM-2450 as the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit is not offered.

If you don't know the axle capacity, find the tag in the center of the beam or measure the diameter (if round). The round beams will measure 2-3/8" if it's a 3,500 lb or 3" if it's a 5,200-7,000K lb.
