Will Firestone F2706 Ride-Rite Helper Springs Work on 2017 Ram 2500 if OEM Air Suspension is Removed

Question:

Hi I have a 2017 Ram 2500 with factory air ride that has been removed a few years ago cold weather issues with stock system. I now have coils in place of the factory air suspension and have had no issues with air ride since. Now that Im towing more Im looking to help aid the coils I have in place. Will this kit work seeing how I removed factory air ride with coils already?

According to my contact in the Technical Services department at Firestone, as long as the air component of your suspension has been removed, leaving you with a standard coil spring suspension the # F2706 Ride-Rite Red Label Air Helper Spring system would work for you. The Red Label kit provides up to 7500 lbs of additional support which honestly, most folks won't need. If 5000 lbs of support would work for you, the less expensive # F2598 Ride-Rite kit would be a perfectly fine choice for you.

You might also be interested in the added convenience of an on-board compressor system, especially if a portion of your towing includes a long drive with an empty trailer along with a full trailer on the return trip. In that scenario, the ability to add or remove pressure from the system with the push of a button could be quite helpful. If that sounds like an option you'd be interested in, I'd recommend the # F2097 compressor kit.
