Where Is The Best Place To Tie The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Wiring Into The 4-Way Lighting Harness?
Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon. I am installing the Invisibrake part #8700 with the RoadMaster Universal wiring kit with 7 to 4 wire cord part #15247 with 4 diodes. My question is where do I install the 4 flat wire harnes to the tow wiring hook up on my jeep? Looking at the Visibrake video they hooked the wire harnes to the front connector. And the diodes are hooked up at the rear tail lights per another video. One piece of information said install upstream. Not sure what that means. Thank you in advance!

When installing the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Recon I find it easiest to run the wiring for the Wiring Harness # RM-945204-00 from the Invisibrake to the front 4-way connector from the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15247. This will be similar to how the wiring is connected in the installation video that I have linked below. I find it best to keep the connections in one location as it is easier to test and find issues in the future as well.
When they say upstream they are referring to before diodes. If you were to splice into the wiring after the diodes the InvisiBrake would activate whenever you hit the brakes inside your Jeep since the power is only stopped from going back through the wiring by the diodes.
