My Thule snug tite lock stl2 lock doesnt sit all the way into the lock housing

Is the problem that it feels like the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 housing should fit further over the bolt, or is the housing not locking to the bolt at all? If the housing is locking onto the bolt and you aren't able to remove it then you are good to go. The bolt is a bit longer than is really needed which is why it can feel this way.

If the housing isn't locking onto the bolt then I would double check that you have the lock core installed correctly. I have attached our review video of this anti-rattle lock for you to check out and reference the installation.

If the lock core installation is correct and you still aren't able to get the housing locked to the bolt then you may have a defective lock that you'll need to get replaced.
