Parts Needed to Adapt a 4-way Connector into a 7-way Connector on a 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I recently picked up a brake controller and didn't realize I needed a 7-way connector on the back of my 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. I currently only have a 4-way, what do I have to do to get a 7-way connector to use the brake controller?

I can help you out with that. Since you already have a 4-way connector on your 2022 Subaru Forester you will just need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. The # ETBC7 will have everything you need to adapt your current 4-way into a 7-way so that you can use your brake controller.
If you need a ball mount kit you can pick up the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit will provide you with 2 different ball mounts, 2 different hitch balls, 2 pin and clips and a storage bag.
