Scooter/Cycle Carrier for Class A Motorhome and SUV
Question:
It seems that most of the racks Ive seen have a big warning at the end that either says, Not designed for use with a scooter with a rear mounted engine weighing over 300lbs or not for use with a motorhome. We have a 305lb 150cc scooter, that we would like to use on our 2012 Winnebago 26p and our SUV. We havent bought the SUV yet, so I cant give any details on that. Which carrier will work for our needs? Thanks.

The only motorcycle carrier we offer that is approved for use on the rear of a motorhome is the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033. The carrier itself has a 500 lb capacity, so it will easily handle the weight of your scooter, but you will be limited by the capacity of the receiver its used in. You will need to ensure that the receiver on your motorhome and SUV can handle the weight of the scooter plus the approximate 50 lb weight of the carrier.
