Installation Mounting Question for the Whispbar Crossbar System # WB-S24 on a 2013 Mazda 5

Hi. In the pictures I see Flush which Ive attached, it looks like there are straps holding down the feet which I would expect to see on a removable roof rack. What are they for? Isnt this roof rack permanently installed using the screw holes already on the roof of the 2013 Mazda5 Touring model? Thank you for your help.

The picture that you reference is actually just being used to demonstrate approximately how the bars would look on your vehicle. You are correct, the Whispbar Roof Rack # WB-S24 when installed on your Mazda 5 will be using a screw and mounting plate what attaches to your factory fixed mounting points.
The clips that I noted in the picture, that you are questioning, are used on other vehicles that do use these crossbars in a removable situation.
By installing these bars you have a many options of roof cargo from bikes to cargo carriers. I have attached a couple of links that give you available options.
