If you are looking for a 2-bike trunk mount bike rack for your 2002 Subaru Forester then the Thule OutWay # TH45JV that you have referenced is the way to go. I own the 3-bike version of this rack and it is the best trunk mount rack that I have ever used. What makes it so great are the retractable cables.

The rack uses only 2 retractable cables rather than 4-6 straps like other bike racks. The cables make installation and removal quick and easy and there is no left over slack to flap in the breeze like racks that use straps. The OutWay also features road dampening technology, an integrated cable lock in the last bike position, and the cables can be locked on one side to deter theft.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
