Weight Distribution Recommendation for Towing a 8,800 lb Dry Trailer
Question:
eTrailer has never steered me wrong. Looking for your recommendation regarding a weight distribution hitch for a 36 long, 8800 lb. GVW, 676 lb. tongue weight travel trailer towed with a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trail Boss with a 5.3 liter motor. Thanks!

For your application I recommend checking out the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU27FR which has a tongue weight rating of 1,000 lbs - 1,300 lbs. When your trailer is fully loaded your tongue weight needs to be 10-15% of the weight of your trailer and that should be at least 10,000 lbs (if the 8,800 lbs is your unloaded trailer weight). The TrackPro is made in the USA and comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball so you will have everything that you need to start towing!
I have attached a review video for you to reference.
If your loaded trailer has a different weight please let me know and I'll be happy to make a different recommendation.
