Picking Out Recover Winch for 2006 Honda Ridgeline

I am looking to add a winch to my Honda Ridgeline primarily if I should I need to pull my self out of a situation. what consideration should I have regarding pull strength, cable or rope ad such. Thaank you for your assistance

Typically when picking out a recovery winch like you are looking for your 2006 Honda Ridgeline you want the capacity of the winch to be at least 1.5 times the weight of the vehicle. Your vehicle weighs right at 4,500 lbs so that would mean you'd want a capacity of at least 6,800 lbs. So for that the Bulldog Winch part # BDW10041 would be a really great option as it is an off-road recovery winch rated for up to 8,000 lbs.
