Where is the Frost Plug Location for # KH11409 on My 2011 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L I4 Engine?

Question:

I have a 2011 Ford ranger sport 4.l engine as I can not see this screw in block heater to fit where my frost plug is if I replace the block heater . How does it fit in a round hole with no threads for it to screw into. .

A lot of times, with Kat's Heaters components like the Kat's Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater - Frost Plug Style # KH11409, neighbors have a hard time locating the correct plug location. With the # KH11409, the correct plug will be threaded. If the location is not threaded, it is a good chance that the plug is in another location.

I looked up the specs on your 2.3L I4 engine block on your 2011 Ford Ranger. I confirmed with Kat's that the frost plug location of the # KH11409, is either on the rear center (if you have a traverse engine style) or right center (if you have a conventional engine style). I went ahead and attached a diagram and a photo from their catalogue to assist you.

If you still cannot locate the plug, feel free to reach back out to me.
