Question:
Hello Good morning, I have a 1998 trails west 4h trailer I want to get new amber and red housing lens. I found part#A44AB AMBER and part#A44RB RED. They both look like they fit but I just want to be sure before I purchase. May I get your expert research on this please.

I searched but could not find any specific lights for a 1998 Trails West trailer; that said, it is pretty easy to determine if the correct replacement lenses are the Replacement Lens - Amber # A44AB and Red # A44RB.
The easiest way, of course, would be if you happen to know what Optronics series light you have as these are direct replacements for MC44 Series and BA44 Series. That's not something most people know though, so the other thing you can do is take a measurement.
Your current lenses would need to measure 4" wide, 1-1/2" tall, and approximately 7/8" deep at the tallest point, and the lights they go on would have mounting holes 3" apart on center. If that all adds up you can use the Replacement Lenses # A44AB and # A44RB.
If it's close but not quite, or you aren't comfortable with just the possibility of it working, it may be worthwhile to consider replacing the entire light, which you can do at a relatively similar cost with the Optronics LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light - Amber Lens # MCL44AB and Red Lens # MCL44RB1.
