Compatibility of Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller On a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee

In the Q and A it was stated that on certain European vehicles the pairing can be challenging. Are Dodge or Jeep products included in that group since they are manufactured by Daimler Chrysler which is a German company?

Your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee will not be included in the European vehicles for the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # TK94FR. The vehicles that it is referencing is certain Mercedes, Audi and other manufacturers that will not send power to the charge line. Those vehicles will sense that there is something different with the trailer connection and does not like to send power to the charge line, which is what powers the controller. This is similar to issues with some Ford F-150's.
