I recommend going with the Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX for your 1996 TrailRite because it is a solid choice that meets your specs at a good price. This installs on your A-Frame and is powered by splicing into battery power whether that's directly from a battery on your trailer or if you'll have it pulling power from the 7-Way on your tow vehicle.
If you don't have a battery on your trailer or even a 7-Way installed on it either then you might be interested in the Electric Trailer Jack # 3370093500 instead which has similar specs to the one mentioned above, but it comes with wiring and a 7-Way connector so you just plug it into the 7-Way on your tow vehicle whenever you need to operate it.
Both jacks fit the standard spacing on an A-Frame and they come with emergency handles to raise/lower the jack in the event that you have a power failure. I also recommend picking up the Protective Cover # UF38-944020 to help protect the head unit from the elements.
Review videos for both trailer jacks have been linked for you to check out.
