How to Determine if Inno Wedge 660 Will Allow Vehicle to Open Rear Hatch
Question:
Hi there, I have a 2017 Honda CR-V with OEM racks and rails. The OEM racks and rails sit pretty far back on the car they are not adjustable and are 24inch apart. Ive tried the Thule Pulse Alpine box and it only allows me to open the rear hatch to only about half way. Im interested in the Inno Wedge 660 and on INNOs website they say that to determine if the hatch will open it needs 12inch from the middle of the rear rack to the seam of the hatch. On your website for the INNO wedge it says it needs 57inch from the front rail to the seam. Can you clarify which is correct?

Expert Reply:
The correct hatch clearance dimension for the Inno Wedge 660 part # INBRM660BK that you referenced is 12 inches measured from the rear crossbar center back to the rear hatch seam. At one point this dimension was different like you noticed which is why there is some different info out there. This also will fit a 24 inch crossbar spread like you have as well.
