Will SoftRide Anti-Rattle # SR15219 Work With MaxxTow Adjustable Ball Mount MT70067
Question:
Hey guys, Can the Softride Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pins for 2inch Trailer Hitches SR25219 be used on the channel portion of the MaxxTow Ball Mount MT70067 to secure and reduce rattling from the adjustable portion of the mount? In other words, as a substitute for the included hitch pins? Thanks for your help!

It is not recommended to deviate from the original manufacturer components because the combination has not been tested together for fit, compatibility and safety.
With that being said, I went to the warehouse and measured the holes of the MaxxTow MT70067 channel portion and the diameter is 11/16 of an inch and the diameter of the pin that comes in the package is a 1/2 inch.
The SoftRide Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin # SR25219 has a pin diameter of 5/8 inch, which is 1/16th inch smaller than the hole. So the fit may be a bit tight, but at the same time, you will still have movement.
One option is the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-UM that has a cushion system inside the shank that will act like an anti-rattle device. I have attached a brief video of this product.
Another option is to get an adjustable heavy-duty ball mount with a more solid locking system such as Diversi-Tech # DTALBM6800, which is a 10K rated mount. I have also attached a brief video of this product as well.
