Converting 8K Axles on 5th Wheel From Drum Brakes to Disc
Question:
I have 2002 Teton 35’ fifth wheel that is equipped with 8,000# dexter axles with drum brakes. I am interested in converting to disc brakes which would require the proper kit and pump. I have 9/16 studs. I see Kodiak makes several kits was wondering what you would recommend

For 8,000 Lb. Dexter axles on your 5th wheel, I suggest the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit, # K2HR89DD. This will replace the hub/drums you have with rotor/hubs and the mounting brackets will attach to the mounting flanges you have. These are dacromet-plated rotors and the needed 9/16" bolts are included.
Use the HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness, # HS381-9067.
