The Hollywood Rack Baja 2 will install directly on the trunk of your 1993 Miata. You will start with the interlocking adjustment hubs completely loose, until you have placed the rack on your car and have adjusted the angle of the dual carrying arms to be either parallel to the ground or angling slightly up. Then flip the lever that will lock the hubs into place.

Our installation notes also state that you can use the tow loops on the side of the vehicle to attach straps or hooks, and the holes located in the vehicle frame for attaching hooks.

After you have configured the locking hubs you will then install the side straps, bottom, and top securing straps for the bike rack.

Please note that an adapter bar is recommended if you will be carrying an alternative frame, womans or childs bike, like the # HRBA-PRO. This will mount the bike in a level position on the bike rack as well as improve ground clearance.
