Do Frame Horns Need to be Removed to Install Westin Grille Guard on 2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
I am considering a Westin 57-2375 brush guard. I have read the installation instructions. My truck is equipped with Factory Frame Horns. The instructions say that I can use the same bolts that hold on the Frame Horns to bolt on the brush guard mounting brackets. My question is: Do I need to remove the Frame Horns or do remove the nuts from the bolts, leave the Frame Horns in place, install the brush guard bracket on top of the Frame Horns and replace the bolts?

You will need to remove the Frame Horns to install the Westin HDX Grille Guard # 57-2375 on your 2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty. Basically there won't be enough room for the factory bolts to reach through both the Frame Horns and the mounting brackets for the grille guard. I confirmed all of this with my contact at Westin.
