Is Curt Echo Brake Controller Plug-And-Play on 2022 GMC Yukon XL
Question:
Hi, do I have to do any other wiring modifications to my vehicle or is this a plug and play ? Is there power at the electric brake pin at the vehicles 7 way connector to run the Curt 51180 or do any modifications need to be made to get power to it ?

There are no modifications required whatsoever to your 2022 GMC Yukon XL's wiring, and you can absolutely use the Curt wireless brake controller, which is the following part number:
- Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180
This will just plug directly into your Yukon's 7-way and you'll have a functioning brake controller. As far as power to the electric brake pin, there is on your Yukon, but that is not actually needed with the Echo # C51180; all that is needed for this brake controller is 12-volt power, turn signals, and ground at the 7-way (which your Yukon also has).
Instead of the electric brake signal at the 7-way, it uses an accelerometer to detect when your Yukon is slowing down, and responds to the amount you are slowing to apply the proper amount of power to your trailer's brakes. The Echo # C51180 is a really smart choice for a brake controller for your Yukon due to its unique combination of convenience and effectiveness.
