Troubleshooting Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Installation on 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Have 2018 Silverado, installed the Curt 51140 and the plug and play harness I have the two lights and it’s calibrated. When I step on the brake or manually slide the controller, OL pops up.I checked all my wiring all my lights work on the trailer and truck. When it’s connected no trailer brakes blue wire. I had a friend connect my trailer, all good it’s not the trailer. So I was told to cut the blue wire and run it directly to the back to by pass the wire.I did and still OL.What’s strange is the brake lights stay on until I disconnect the harness on the controller. When I plug it back in it resets and the same process happens all over.I even changed the controller and still the same.Everything works fine in the truck I checked all the fuses. My next step is to bring it to the Dealer which I’m not to happy about. Please any other ideas would be great full.

Wow, you've really done a thorough job at testing the functioning of the Curt TriFlex # C24VV and Wiring Adapter # C51451 on your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500.
The only other thing I can think to do is check the 7-Way on the back of your pickup. If the pins are corroded or the wiring is messed up inside the 7-Way connector then that would explain why you're getting the OL code. It's possible that some wires are crossing which would also explain why your brake lights are remaining on until you unplug the controller.
