Good morning, I am new at the camper life, so please forgive my ignorance. I have 2021 Starcraft Autumn Ridge BH, and I have for now a 2021 Toyota Tacoma V6 sr5. Im looking to purchase the RE44FR Weight distribution and sway control kit- pls let me know if this is the correct item for my truck towing - and Id like to know if itll be safe, staying under speed limits, to travel to the installation site with just the basic towing package I have? It is about 30 miles from my residence.

Definitely a smart idea to make sure you're ordering the right part, and we can get you set up with the right Reese weight distribution hitch, but the correct one depends on the specific model of your 2021 Starcraft Autumn Ridge.

Based on my research, there are two models of BH, the 19BH with a 4,450 lb GVWR, and 26BH, with a 6,500 lb GVWR. So depending on which model you have, here is the correct Reese hitch:

- 2021 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 26BH: Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution with Sway Control # RE44FR

- 2021 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 19BH: Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution with Sway Control # RE94FR

The difference is the # RE94FR is for 400 lbs - 800 lbs total tongue weights and the # RE44FR is for 600 lbs - 1,150 lbs total tongue weights. So for the heavier 26BH you need the higher-capacity weight distribution, and the lighter 19BH would require the lower-capacity weight distribution.

These are otherwise the same weight distribution hitch, and you will be safe driving to the installation site without the system installed. If you're new to towing, just take it a bit slower as it can take some getting used to, but you'll definitely get the hang of it without any issues.
