Using the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar with 2001 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Do you need additional mounting hardward to connect a Stowmaster tow bar to a 2001 Toyota Tacoma manual transmission with manual transfer? Are the included base plates all that is needed?

You will require base plates to go with the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501, a crossbar style base plate. I suggest the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit, # 1159-1.
You will also need indicator lights. There is the magnetic Towing Light Kit option, # RM-2120, for an easy to install, less permanent solution.
Or for a more permanent solution, Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154 (I attached a link below to an FAQ page on how to wire a vehicle with a diode system)
RoadMaster Safety Cables - 8,000 lbs, # RM-645 and Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, # RM-9400.
Please be sure to review your vehicle specific owners manual for flat towing your 2001 Toyota Tacoma.
