Yes! You are correct that I was talking about a 6-1/2 foot bed on a 2020 Toyota Tundra. The Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4001670 will definitely fit. As far as being able to move the rack away from the tailgate - yes, you will be able to position the uprights/crossbars forward away from the rear. In most truck models, the mounting pockets are located under a small, square plastic tab. There are also some truck models that require you to saw off the top surface of the bed rails in order to get to the pockets. I would definitely would confirm that your bed rails are this type with your vehicle's owner's manual.

As far as a more economic option than the PowertraxONE MX # RT70846 (for Deck Rails) and the # RT70836 (no Deck Rails), we do carry the non-powered version of that cover.
