You will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 to convert your factory 4-way to a 7-way connector on your 2019 Toyota Highlander. As I am unsure of your mechanical abilities I have linked an installation video we have installing this on your Highlander. If you do not feel comfortable installing this and the brake controller on your own we have a link to find installers based on your zip code on the product pages or you can also visit your Toyota Dealer.
For a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR. To connect this you will need the Universal Wiring Harness # RED69FR that plugs into the controller. You should also use the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 so that you can mount the control knob on your dash replacing one of the blank switch panels.
