Will the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System Work with My 2012 Jeep Liberty?
Question:
I have a Patriot Break System, I see your recommendation for a Break system is a different brand. Is there a reason for not using the Patriot?

I went ahead and confirmed with my contact at Blue Ox that the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR is compatible with your 2012 Jeep Liberty.
If you are looking for all the components you need to flat-tow your vehicle, I recommend the following additional parts:
- Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar # BX7380 (comes with safety cables)
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1131
- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-1676-7
The Alpha 2 has an advantage because it slides into trailer hitch receiver on RV and doesn't require a ball mount. The Blue Ox Base Plate kit is that is simply installs into your Liberty's chassis with all required hardware included. It is also 100% made in the U.S.A. and provides you with a hidden design. With the diode kit, this will allow you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your Liberty's lighting system.
