Will Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Spring Kit # F4176 Fit a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen
Question:
I see the Firestone F4176 is listed as fitting a 2009 / 2010 JSW, but doesnt mention fitting a 2011 model or later? I am unaware of any rear suspension differences between the 2010 and later models. I believe only the Jetta Sedan had changes, not the wagon. Can it fit a 2011?

The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Spring Kit, part # F4176, is specified to fit the Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen for model years 2009-2010, and 2012-2013. There is no fit confirmed for the 2011 model year. I spoke to a technical contact at Firestone who indicated that the manufacturer changed body styles after the 2010 year and did not complete the re-design in time for a 2011 model year to be test-fitted for this kit. It may fit but Firestone cannot confirm with certainty.
We do offer a confirmed fit for a jounce-style rear-axle spring kit for your 2011 SportWagen from Super Springs, their kit # CSS-1145R. This kit installs without drilling. These polyurethane foam springs insert inside your rear coil springs to provide progressive resistance as the load increases. They are held in place with the supplied zip ties. Jounce-style springs like these are less costly, much simpler to install than air spring kits and they require no maintenance.
Please refer to the provided instructions and to the linked video demonstrating installation.
Please note that addition of a rear suspension enhancement product such as this Super Springs kit does not increase the weight-carrying capacity of your vehicle.
