The jack is hesitating, skipping or clicking like missing a tooth not allowing it to lift. What is a fix for this issue?

Since Lippert does not carry any replacement parts to fix the skipping that you are experiencing, my recommendation is to replace it with the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack # LC643589.

This new smart jack will make using your trailer much easier. You will be able to set your hitch height so there is no more guessing how far you need to adjust the hitch hitch height from when you parked the trailer. You can also fully retract the jack without having to hold the button.
