Does Latch of Demco Trailer Coupler DM15945 Require Initial Adjustment
Question:
Hi, I just ordered the DM15945 trailer tongue. Do I need to adjust any kind of tension on coupler like the nut on the spring, or just mount it right out of the box and go? Bought a used trailer once and it popped off my trailer ball while I was going down the road. It had too much slack on the actual coupler part, and when I went over a bump in the road...

The latch of the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM15945 that you referenced is pre-adjusted to fit a 2 inch ball as-is and would not require you to do any initial adjustments for it to work properly.
