I would like to get a hitch receiver installed on my 2022 Honda Pilot. Will it affect my hands free lift gate?

It has a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 6,000 lbs.

With regard to whether or not this hitch receiver will interfere with your hands free lift gate sensor, the short answer is yes. Some of our customers say that it affects the hands free lift gate sensor all of the time, others say it happens intermittently. Honda has made a kit specifically to relocate your hands free lift gate sensor. When installed the sensor is moved off center. I would recommend that you pick up this kit from your Honda dealer and install this kit when you are installing the hitch receiver
