I have a ski carrier solution for you. I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Thule, and she confirmed that the Thule 1050/33 Diagonal Ski Rack has been discontinued for about 25 years. Unfortunately, Thule does not manufacture any replacement hardware for this rack.

However, Thule has made many new improvements to their ski/snowboard racks. For a great update for your rack, I recommend the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Locking # TH7326B. The great thing about this rack is that it is compatible with most round, square, aero, elliptical, and factory crossbars. This is a great feature since the Thule 1050/33 could only be mounted on square crossbars. As far as how many pairs of skis and boards you can carry, the SnowPack allows you to transport 6 pairs of Skis or 4 boards.

With the SnowPack, you do need a roof rack system on your vehicle. In order for me to recommend you with the best parts available, feel free to respond to this answer with the year/make/model of your vehicle.
