Troubleshooting No Trailer Detected Message on 2014 Ram 1500 Towing New Trailer

Question:

Brand new trailer works on buddy’s new chevy my dodge won’t recognize it. Lights all work cleaned all terminals for 7 pin both sides on truck . Fuses look good hard to see them but I think they look good. I did the air suspension but those fuses are pulled so it shouldn’t affect the system.

It sounds like you have already done a lot of the work to troubleshoot the problem, great job! Based on the steps already taken, and the fact that this is a new trailer connecting to your 201 Ram 1500, your truck may not be recognizing the trailer because of LED lights. I am making the assumption that this has LED lights since it is new. I have found this to be the case in the past when the vehicle does not recognize the trailer, but the lights function as intended.

In order to fix this problem, I recommend the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End # 20142. Although this is made for vehicles with lamp-out sensors, it is also capable of fixing the issue you have described. Sometimes the truck won't detect the trailer because of the low power LEDs.

I have attached a review video for your reference.
