Determining The Correct Rotating Pin Box For A Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I own a 2018 F150 Super Crew 5.5 bed bet you never heard THAT before My wife is considering the purchase of the Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405 5th wheel about the only 5th wheel I would be comfortable towing with the F150. Is the Sidewinder or MORryde rotating pin box compatible with the Winnebago Micro Minnie 2405?

Pin boxes are bolt pattern specific so you would need to check the bolt pattern of the camper before purchasing to ensure that there is a compatible replacement. Manufacturers tend to either not list the pin boxes they use or have multiple pin boxes for a specific model camper. There are pin box bolt patterns that are non-replaceable so it's always best to ensure that you know the exact pin box bolt pattern on the trailer you wish to buy.

The bolt pattern can be usually be found stamped onto the pin box or on a tag/sticker that's mounted to the pin box, usually on the front or side. If there isn't a pin box bolt pattern listed then you can use the attached measurement guide to determine what the bolt pattern is.

Once you know what the bolt pattern is you can then choose the correct replacement. For example if you had a 1621 bolt pattern you could use the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret - 20,000lbs # RP34FR that you were looking at.

You'll also need a wedge kit to prevent the king pin of the pin box from rotating in the jaws of the hitch. These are specific fits for the hitch so if you could provide me with which hitch you plan on towing with I can find the correct wedge kit for you.
